The Benefits Of Using Natural Deodorant You May Not Realise

Natural deodorants have been gaining popularity as awareness grows of the potential downsides of conventional products. Most people first make the switch because they want to avoid aluminium or other synthetic chemicals. However, there are some other unexpected benefits of making the change to a product such as lime sage deodorant.

Less skin irritation

If you use a regular anti-perspirant deodorant that is designed to block sweat glands, you might notice a build up of product as your pores become clogged. This can cause irritation and dryness, particularly when combined with parabens and synthetic fragrances.

Natural deodorants don’t stop you from sweating, but instead work by absorbing wetness and neutralising odour. They leave no unpleasant residue, but instead calm inflammation and gently nourish your skin. It’s ideal if you have eczema or very sensitive skin.

You don’t ruin your clothes

Conventional antiperspirants tend to leave a yellowish stain under the arms of your clothes, which is not actually caused by sweat alone, but also a chemical residue from the product reacting with perspiration. Natural deodorants are free from ingredients such as aluminium, and help to keep your clothes in good condition.

A clean natural scent

Most regular deodorants have an overpowering synthetic smell that can irritate the senses, or clash with your other skincare products or perfume. Natural deodorants use essential oils and plant-based ingredients to provide calming, clean scents that are pleasant but not invasive, so you can enjoy your day without the distraction of a chemical fragrance.

More ethical and sustainable

Natural deodorants are typically made with renewable and organic ingredients that are kinder for the environment as well as your body.
